We went for our check up yesterday and you are growing very well!!!! The doc doesn’t measure your length anymore because you are too big and you are obviously curled up in a ball so that makes it very difficult. But you already weigh 200g, a little more than the average for your age!
Last time we went for a scan you were lying on your head, today you were upright – “in breach” as the doctor would say. We saw your little face and your cute little chin – it looks just like your daddy’s chin. You had your hands by your face the whole time so we got to see your little fingers. It really was beautiful.
Next up on the agenda was to see if we could sneak a peek into finding out if you are a girl or a boy. It looks like you are a little girl, but the doctor couldn’t confirm for sure because he needs to see from a second angle and you were not co-operating very much – you were lying with the essential bits too far down into my pelvis and this restricted the view that the doc could get of you. We will confirm next time for sure.

When we left the hospital I asked your daddy if he was upset that we are having a daughter and not a son. He said to me that he knew it was going to be a girl because he had a dream and in his dream he had a daughter. This is quite amazing especially since he NEVER remembers his dreams. I’ve had a feeling for a long time now that we are going to have a girl, but I have not been sure if that feeling was real or if it was my way of setting myself up so that I wouldn’t be disappointed to find out you’re not a boy.
As for me, I have not picked up any weight at all. In fact it looks like I’ve lost weight, so I’m not complaining at all.
It’s all going so well that I almost can’t believe it!
