This is MY year!

So last year was a particularly challenging year for me, especially given that my whole life was thrown upside down by having a really difficult baby for a few months. In fact, when I think back on the year now I am ashamed to say that much of the year is actually a blur in my mind.

As such, I have decided that this year is going to be the year for me! The year I am going to be selfish and do more of the things I want to do.

So my resolutions for 2013 are as follows:
  • Become more spiritual (not religious, just more in tune with myself and the world around me)
  • Spend more time scrapbooking: I want to actually finish my album for Courtney's first year (yes, I know that she'd 3 already!) and I want to do an album for Keegan's first year.
  • I want to plan to do one craft activity with Courtney each weekend. She really thrives on this kind of attention and she loves making and doing things.
  • I want to try and be a more patient, less-busy mother.
  • I want to read at least one novel a month (I miss the days where I always had my nose in a book)
  • I plan to be healthier by the end of the year than I am now.
  • I want to become more organised - I always used to be organised, but motherhood has really turned that on it's head! It's time to get back on track.
  • I am also attempting to do a "Photo-a-day" challenge this year. Let's hope I can remember to take a photo every day.
I thought long and hard about doing more "me" things this year and I had to overcome a huge amount of guilt at the thought of doing things I want to do, but I have decided to drop the guilt because these things make me happy and if I am happy it can only be good for my family.

Here's hoping that at the end of the year I will look back to this list and be able to say that I achieved everything I wanted to.

Wish me luck!
